Thank you for your interest in the CHS Healthcare Foundation. The Foundation was formed in 2008 to help support the programs and services of CHS Healthcare. In 2009, CHS served over 47,000 patients. One in seven patients in our community uses the services of CHS and 69% of those patients are children. Many of the children have their first-ever visit to a doctor or dentist on the CHS Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® which travels to sites throughout Collier County including The Boys and Girls Club, The Shelter for Abused Women and Children, and schools. After the Care Mobile, many of these young patients go to one of six CHS pediatric clinics or one of three CHS dental clinics.
Can you imagine a child trying to concentrate in school if they do not feel well or have a tooth ache? Access to good healthcare is so important to a child’s development and ability to learn. If CHS didn’t care for these patients, their health problems could become more serious and require a trip to the emergency room. We believe in keeping the emergency room for true emergencies.
It is because of your generous support that we are able to provide these services. Thank you for helping CHS deliver quality healthcare with compassion in a clean, safe environment to everyone in the community, regardless of their ability to pay.
