Through a donation based, private fund, CHS is able to provide additional needed services to the most needy in our Immokalee community. The Sister Veronica Fund targets gaps in service to our most vulnerable population. The Fund is a resource of last resort for low income, uninsured patients. The money from this fund is used only to pay for urgently needed prescription medications, dental care, or eye exams. Sister Veronica is coordinated by a staff RN. 100% of donations and grants to the Sister Veronica Fund are used to benefit patients in need of assistance.
The Immokalee Children’s Fund was established 15 years ago as a medical resource of last resort for Immokalee children. The fund assists our youngest and most needy patients with certain essential needs like prescribed medicines, home nebulizers, eye exams, eye glasses, emergency dental care, specialty medical tests, consults, and translators. Before the existence of this program, children whose families were not able to afford these services went without. The Children’s Fund ensures every Immokalee child access when medically necessary by providing resources when available. This program is unique and essential for Immokalee children in difficult times.
Our Children’s Health Network (CHN) is a group of six pediatric offices located throughout Collier County. These medical centers deliver quality healthcare to our pediatric patients. All of our CHN centers are staffed with pediatricians, nurses, and a highly trained support staff that specialize in the physical care of children. Children’s Health Network is the largest single provider in Collier County, with pediatric sites located in North, Central, and East Naples, as well as in Golden Gate, Marco Island, and Immokalee. It’s all about the children.
